    The Buz's picture

What's hilarious is that image they use for the cover is from Freddy Vs. Jason.

Not even high definition can make this movie good.

Sorry, but you don't have a clue what you're talking about. Elm Street is one of the best horror films around. Probably not a Top Ten, but great nonetheless

    I guess I outgrew it when I turned 12. It' a joke.

I can understand being put off by the humor, but for me the humor in the first one is jet black and it makes Freddy all the more disgusting and vile. It's the sequels that make him a joke.

NOES is good enough but hasn't aged well. Craven's movies don't have a very good shelf life.

When I finally got a PS3, there were few movies that I knew I'd be double...aw hell, let's be honest...quadruple dipping. This was one of the first films I vowed to buy when it (finally) got released. It may not have the kick-ass original poster art for the cover, but at least it's not that lame-ass Jackie Earl Haley cover for the new box-set. He's not lame-ass, just the fact they're using his image over Robert's. Isn't that like using Al Pacino's image to sell Halloween? Makes no sense at all...

Sweet fucking lord! This is great!

I am getting this thing ASAP. I still remember forking over $120 bucks for the Nightmare box set back in 2000 when it first hit DVD and being blown away by the picture and sound.

I'm hoping for a similar feeling with this Blu-ray.

I've seen the Canadian Blu-ray print and it was amazing!

And it's still the R-Rated version of the film. You'd think that by now they'd have found a way to put out the UNRATED cut of the film. It was on Laserdisc, for fuck's sake!
