RoboCop’s OmniCorp Viral Campaign Teases a First Look at the RC-2000

With the launch of the first viral campaign for Jose Padilha’s RoboCop remake – a website and promo video for OmniCorp – we get our first idea of what some of the company’s products look like, including the RC-2000 itself.

Along with a tease of RoboCop, the video gives us a much better look at the other components of OmniCorp’s new citizen protection product line: an XT-908 Aerial Vehicle and an ED-209. The OmniCorp website is still mostly “Access Denied” when you click around on it, but we expect things will be unlocked soon.

The flick sees Joel Kinnaman (“The Killing”) as the title hero, a cop named Alex Murphy who is brought back from the brink of death and turned into a cyborg police officer. Gary Oldman has already been cast as his scientist-creator. Samuel L. Jackson will play Pat Novak, a charismatic media mogul and a powerful force in the RoboCop world. Last we heard, Hugh Laurie was in talks to play the evil and ultra-rich CEO of OmniCorp.

Currently the film has a tentative release date of August 9th, 2013.
