RIP Brittany Murphy

Death, no matter how it comes, is always tragic on some level. But it’s most tragic when it strikes down those who are still on the young side of the fence. It’s with a good deal of both sadness and shock that we report the passing of Brittany Murphy.
Murphy, who was best known to horror fans for her role in Sin City, hadn’t visited our genre much during her career, but it seemed as if she was really starting to dig it with the release of her latest film Deadline just recently hitting DVD and Blu-ray along with several other genre projects that she had lined up and on the way.
Murphy died Sunday morning, December 20th, due to cardiac arrest at the way too young age of just 32. We here at Dread Central would like to take this time to offer Murphy’s friends, family, and constituents our deepest condolences.
Wherever she’s gone just got a little bit brighter. Godspeed.
