Genetic manipulation. Rarely does anything good come from that combination of words. In writer/director Ric La Monte's latest film The Tenant, things go from bad to worse to monstrous. Just the way we like it!

The Tenant just wrapped shooting and stars J. LaRose, Michael Berryman, Bill Cobbs, Randy Molnar, Georgia Chris, Sylvia Boykin, and Aerica D'Amaro. Synopsis
A simple man, Dr. Walter Newman has high aspirations to cure all disease through genetic manipulation. His obsession with his mission draws him deeper into his own dark world, distracting him from his wife, Olivia, and his responsibilities to his patients at the Edgewood Asylum. The doctor's loyal but diabolical nurse, Ms. Tinsley, decides to take matters into her own hands and in secret conducts her own experiment. When Dr. Newman realizes what has been done, a deformed creature that defies nature is created. Part human, part nightmare. Dr. Newman knows what he must do, but is it already too late?

Border Crossing Horrors Abound in Chris Peckover's Undocumented
There are plenty of real life horrors out there to go along with the made-up stuff that we hold near and dear. In fact, there's probably more. Constant jokes are made about Mexican border-crossers, but the way our country is going ... pretty soon the shoe is likely to be on the other foot. Director Chris Peckover is taking the subject of "illegals" and adding a horror twist to the affair.
