New Alien Quadrilogy Blu-ray News

If you're anything like us, one box set you simply cannot wait to get your hands on is the Blu-ray version of the amazing Alien Quadrilogy. Well, some really good news broke today that we're ecstatic to share!
In an interview with the LA Times, chatty actress Sigourney Weaver revealed that "she will be sitting down in the weeks to come to watch all of 'Alien' films as part of the process of recording commentary for the upcoming Blu-ray release of the four-film franchise."
New content and not just a straight port? HELL YES! Also over at The Digital Bits the word is that we'll see the new set in mid to late 2010 with "TONS of new material [that] has been added as well exclusively for the Blu-ray release".

Glad we'll have a Blu-Ray set WITHOUT those godawful AVP films. I wouldn't buy it if it had those things tainting my collection.
Also if Fox were REALLY cool, they'd put the uncut Alien 3 documentary on the set.
