A Nightmare on Elm Street Going Through Re-Shoots
After a round of test-screenings in LA Platinum Dunes' remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street has been sent back to film additional scenes. Hey, it can only get better, right?
CHUD discovered the casting call sheet via the Spoiler TV site, which seems to primarily involve minor secondary characters that work with Nancy (Rooney Mara) at the diner. Nothing huge, but apparently necessary.
Jackie Earle Haley, Rooney Mara, Kyle Gallner, Thomas Dekker and Katie Cassidy star in this reboot of the Nightmare franchise directed by Samuel Bayer. Look for it in theatres on April 30th, 2010.

Looks like we are going to be waiting just a bit longer for the fourth entry in the Resident Evil franchise, Resident Evil: Afterlife to be released as Screen Gems has pushed back the date.

Adding more shit to a shit sandwich doesn't make it any better. It's still a shit sandwich sitting on your plate.

No, it can't get better. These are the same guys responsible for The Hitcher and Friday the 13th remakes. After those two pieces of shit, I can never imagine Platinum Dunes making an even remotely good film.

Agreed, it can only get worse.

No matter how many 'reshoots' this piece of garbage gets, the no talent hacks at Platinum Dunes will never be able to recapture the lightning Wes Craven caught in a bottle all those years ago with their horrible retread. Everything about the original is inspired, where as, by definition, a remake can never achieve that. Quit while you're ahead and leave the classics alone, assholes!
