In what should come as no surprise to anyone who's been following the show's rocky road since Day One, Fox TV has canceled Joss Whedon's "Dollhouse". But at least they're letting it run its course and will air all 13 of this season's episodes, enabling Whedon to give it a proper send-off.
According to Variety, the show, which is currently in production on Ep. 11, will return on December 4th and run the nine remaining episodes in its order for the season. "This gives Joss the opportunity to end in a significant way," the network said in a statement.

I don't have a lot to say. I'm extremely proud of the people I've worked with: my star, my staff, my cast, my crew. I feel the show is getting better pretty much every week, and I think you'll agree in the coming months. I'm grateful that we got to put it on, and then come back and put it on again.
I'm off to pursue internet ventures/binge drinking. Possibly that relaxation thing I've read so much about. By the time the last episode airs, you'll know what my next project is. But for now there's a lot of work still to be done, and disappointment to bear.

Poor Joss, he just needs to stay away from Fox the Network now. Unless he's on a network like FX which will give him more creative control, or maybe Showtime or HBO where he can get away with more.
Honestly I liked Dollhouse. The actor who played Victor was incredibly talented and I hope he gets work elsewhere. I liked the characters and I was interested in where the show was going. I liked it, but it lacked the magic of Buffy, Angel and Firefly.
I'm just curious to see what he's going to be doing next, and what studio is going to pick up "Cabin in the Woods" since MGM is apparently dying.

That "magic" it lacked was compelling lead characters of any kind. The only non-active characters that were remotely interesting were Topher and Doctor Saunders. It also lacked a good lead. Dusku is extremely limited and this show proved it.

Yeah it's like he came up with 'What is the hardest show for anyone to enjoy or get into" and then made it.
Fox gave him plenty of time, it's a shame the show wasn't enjoyable.
