Len Wiseman to Helm End of the World Thriller?
He's taken us to the Underworld and back so it makes sense that for his next project Len Wiseman might be exploring the end of the world as we know it for 20th Century Fox.
According to The Hollywood Reporter the studio has bought an untitled pitch about the end of the world with Wiseman in talks to direct and produce [and] is seeking writers. The project is based on an original idea about a group of people who survive the end of the world and the mystery surrounding how they got to that position.
Oddly enough, although THR's story says the film-to-be is "untitled", their headline gave it one ... Nocturne. So, until we hear otherwise, that's how we'll refer to it as well.
As for Wiseman's slate, he's attached to two other pics currently, both of which are military/action oriented -- Atlantis Rising and Shrapnel -- but neither has a solid green light. And of course there's always the rumored Underworld 4 so who knows where Nocturne might fit into his plans. But we're definitely intrigued ... mostly because of three little words: "an original idea".
Keep it here for more on this one as it comes.
