AFM: The Horde Lands Distribution in the US and Japan
Things are definitely heating up at this year's American Film Market, where French zombie flick The Horde has landed distribution in the US and Japan with a Korean deal pending.
ScreenDaily reports that IFC Films and Showgate secured rights to Yannick Dahan and Benjamin Rocher's The Horde for American and Japanese audiences, respectively. "What started as a small zombie movie ended up as a bestseller," said French sales outfit Film Distribution’s Nicolas Brigaud-Robert, who put the deals together with IFC and Showgate.
Official Synopsis:
"North of Paris. In order to avenge the murder of one of their own by a group of ruthless gangsters, four corrupt cops go on a rampage in a condemned building serving as the mobster’s hideout. Now trapped, the officers are about to be executed when the unimaginable occurs: hordes of bloodthirsty, cannibalistic creatures invade the building, savagely attacking everyone. Unexpected alliances are made when their lives are threatened by the unthinkable."

A couple of new clips debuted today on the official The Descent Part 2 website to go along with the previously released ones. Which are which? Who cares? We've got them all for you!

La Horde rocks like a motherfucker. Any zombie lover will get one hell of a kick out of this. I'll need to double check, but if the "official" premiere has taken place (there was a critical embargo in place when I saw it) then an official review may be on the cards.

Now all we need is a release date on blu-ray and we're good. Also, anyone know what's up with IFC's Dead Snow on blu-ray and dvd?
