Trap Teases a Trilogy
Filmmaker Jason Horton dropped us a line with some news on his latest project, Trap, about a brutal kidnapping that goes from bad to worse when a middle-aged kidnapper falls in love with his 15-year-old victim.
Horton is in final negotiations on a foreign distribution deal for the film and said he's closing in on the domestic side as well. He relayed, "Our financier is actually interested in making Trap the middle section of a trilogy. Although the other movies won't exactly be traditional sequels or prequels, but will be new stories featuring minor characters from Trap."
The film stars Alonzo F. Jones along with Alan Perada and Ashton Blanchard. Below is a new still, and if you click the pic below that, you'll be able to see a teaser scene Horton has uploaded to IMDB.

Horton also mentioned that there's been some talk about a bigger budget follow-up to his apocalyptic anthology Edges of Darkness (review here) thanks to its stellar DVD sales and critical response. Keep it here for more on that front, as well as updates on Trap, as it comes.

No, we're not talking about the bastard sequel of the Halloween franchise (sorry, no need to get that song stuck in your head) or even the little known George A. Romero flick of the same name. What we have here is the teaser trailer for a new Dominic Sena flick!
