Scream '09: Red Carpet, Event and After-Party Coverage
Dread Central (in this case Heather Wixson, myself, and a moonlighting Brian Smith) hit the red carpet this past Saturday for the taping of the fourth annual Spike Scream Awards, held at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, and brought back a slew of photos and video interviews from the press line, as well as from the event itself and subsequent after-party (which was held at the Forever Hollywood Cemetery in, well, Hollywood).
Honoring the best in sci-fi, fantasy, horror, and comic books, Spike Scream Award presenters included Johnny Depp, Megan Fox, Morgan Freeman, Eliza Dushku, Harrison Ford, Jennifer Carpenter, Quentin Tarantino, Stan Lee, and Elijah Wood, among others (for a full list and of those accepting see our 'As They Happen' news item). Dread scored interviews with scream queen Brooke (iMurders) Lewis, Todd Tucker and Harvey Lowry of Drac FX, Platinum Dunes’ Nightmare on Elm Street remake star Jackie Earl Haley, Laid to Rest director Rob Hall, and more. Check 'em out below, as well as some b-roll from the insanity that was the after-party.
The fourth annual Scream Awards will premiere on Spike TV on Tuesday, October 27 (10:00 PM-Midnight, ET/PT)
