Words alone cannot fully describe just how much that headline makes us happy. You can settle down, though, as we’re fine here in the States even with the poor economy, ludicrous bouts of class warfare, and Dunkin Donuts refusing that extra puff of creme on the outside of their creme-filled donuts.

While Matt Fini is still climbing the walls over that last one, what we’re talking about here is the new film from the director of Cold Prey, Roar Uthaug, starring Ingrid Bolso Berdal along with Hallvard Holmen, Tobias Santelman, Martin Slaatto, and Hans Jacob Sand. According to Screen Daily, TrustNordisk’s in demand action-adventure Escape (or Flukt for you purists out there) has sold to eOne for US and Rialto Distribution for Australia. Market deals were previously struck with Momentum (UK), Koch Media (Germany), Aurum Producciones (Spain), Film Europe (Czech Republic and Slovakia), and Middle East’s Gulf Film with buyers hungry for the film off promo.

Synopsis
Ten years after the Black Death ravaged the country, a poor family is on a journey to find better living conditions. On a deserted mountain pass they are attacked by a gang of ruthless outlaws. They only spare the life of 19-year-old Signe. She is taken captive, and the gang takes her back to their camp. Here she learns that she is intended a fate worse than death. Signe understands that the only solution is to escape.
