A source close to the pre-production goings-on of Zebediah de Soto's Night of the Living Dead: Origins called in with some exclusive updated casting news that makes the 3D "American anime" sound better and better all the time. Mos Def is confirmed as Ben, and four more parts are in the final stages of negotiation.
Most likely also joining the previously announced Danielle Harris as Barbra and Joe Pilato as Harry Cooper are Alona Tal (Jo on Supernatural) as Helen Cooper, Bill Moseley as Johnny (reprising his portrayal of the same character in Tom Savini's 1990 NOTLD remake), and newcomers Erin Braswell as Judy and Mike Diskint as Tom.
Expanding on de Soto's promise that "no one has ever seen anything like this on the big screen," Night of the Living Dead: Origins, which is set in a place that just hasn't suffered enough yet, New York City, is slated to bring over-the-top zombie mayhem that includes people rioting, cars flipping, and planes crashing all over town. We can't wait to hear -- and see -- more!
