Four TV Spots for The Stepfather Debut

On October 16th Sony and director Nelson McCormick will be bringing us their remake of The Stepfather, which will hopefully rise above its PG-13 rating and deliver a taught and suspenseful little thriller. Hey, it could happen!

Four TV spots for the film found their way online today, and we have them below for your perusal. Look for more on the film as we get closer.

Synopsis:
"Michael Harding returns home from military school to find his mother happily in love and living with her new boyfriend, David. As the two men get to know each other, Michael becomes more and more suspicious of the man who is always there with a helpful hand. Is he really the man of her dreams or could David be hiding a dark side?"

I have no idea what to make of this but if that circular saw footage they're whoring in every trailer is the most shocking thing they've got - I can only assume disappointment will follow a viewing.
