Adam Green and Joe Lynch to Deliver Coffee and Donuts

Filmmakers Green and Lynch have very much developed into a bit of a comedy team given the success of their Road to Frightfest short films (watch Road to Frightfest year one here and Road to Frightfest year two here). As a result the writing was kind of on the wall that a more formal collaboration wouldn't be that far off. In fact it could be sooner than you think.

At this year's Frightfest (report here) Green hinted that a sitcom starring Lynch and him could very well be on the way.

Shock Till You Drop caught up with Adam and pressed him for a couple more details:

"All I can say is that Joe and I are in very serious final talks to star in a TV show I’m writing and directing called "Coffee and Donuts", based on my first movie. It originally got developed for television with UPN but never got made, so the rights just came back to me. The people at various networks are fans of the short films, so I went in with this idea and pitched it with Joe and I being the guys, and based off the reaction of the FRIGHTFEST shorts, they thought that would be great. And we were shocked! So it’s going to star myself and Joe Lynch, and it’s going to cater very heavily towards our horror fans."

Look for more on "Coffee and Donuts" soon!

moderator The title is from the movie

The title is from the movie that Adam made in '98 which was based on the radio show of the same title that he did in '92. I'd say that gives him more than a little claim to the title if that's they one he wants to use, no?
