Paranormal Activity Screening Cities Announced!
In addition to just making available the new Paranormal Activity trailer, Paramount has revealed the first batch of cities in which midnight screenings of the film will be held and launched its spiffy new website!
Direct from @TweetYourScream on Twitter:
Sept. 24th - limited midnight Fantastic Fest screenings of PARANORMAL ACTIVITY: LA, NY, San Francisco, Chicago, Boston, Atlanta, & Seattle
In other words, free(!) screenings will be held across the country on Thursday night, September 24th, at 11:59 PM simultaneous with the film's Fantastic Fest appearance (or as simultaneous as it can be considering the different time zones). In addition, Dread Central readers who live in and around the Boston area can look forward to an extra special announcement from us shortly.
Then, on September 25th, it expands to include, Austin, TX; Durham, NC; Boulder, CO; Lincoln, NB; Orlando, FL; Seattle, WA; Ann Arbor, MI; Baton Rouge, LA; Columbus, OH; Madison, WI; Santa Cruz, CA; State College, PA; and Tucson, AZ. Don't see your town listed? DEMAND IT below!
After a young, middle class couple (Katie Featherston and Micah Sloat) move into what seems like a typical suburban "starter" tract house, they become increasingly disturbed by a presence that may or may not be somehow demonic but is certainly most active in the middle of the night. Especially when they sleep. Or try to.

When you live in small towns like Forks and LaPush, Washington, having an influx of 1,200 to 1,500 people for a weekend event is sure to help the local economy. And that's exactly what transpired during the celebration known as Bella's Birthday and Stephenie Meyer Day, which ran this past September 12th and 13th, 2009.

What about San Diego county? It was shot in the area! Going to make a request on that site.

SON-OF-A-BITCH!....I was JUST in State College last weekend for the Penn St/Syracuse game. I don't really feel like driving 2 hours again just to see a movie...even if it IS Paranormal Activity. Because then I'll need to rent another room. If anyone ever was in State College, you'll understand. Penn St isn't ranked the number one party college in the country for nothing...

Seriously, and how did Philly not get a show? It is not like they do not have any artsy theatres there (the Ritzes).
Guess that I just have to wait and hope that Philly gets added due to requests.

Orlando getting this makes me VERY happy as I've been wanting to see this ever since it was first mentioned on DFF around this time two years ago. I'll hope it lives up to the hype and when I see it the first night it's out I won't have to deal with any yay-hoos who act like the stereotypical idiot who you sometimes have to deal with at the cineplex, and no matter what I'll hype it up on my personal webpages so that word gets out about it and more people are able to see it.
