First Official Clip - Survival of the Dead

In anticipation of the film's world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival as part of the "Midnight Madness" portion of programming, the first clip from George A. Romero's Survival of the Dead has made its way online.

The clip is on the lighthearted side of the fence, but let me tell you -- I've seen the horrors of this film that await viewers first-hand so don't worry!

Synopsis
When the idyllic retreat of Plum Island falls victim to the zombie plague, a new breed of clan war breaks out. On one side is the camp who want to exterminate all the undead with a wickedly diverse array of brain-splattering head-shots. On the other devoted family members take the stance that “zombie-ism” is a disease, the undead have rights, and they must be kept alive until a cure is found. Unable to simply “agree to disagree,” the two clans go to war and make their island microcosm a whole hell of a lot bloodier. An undead parallel to the tribal wars that are plaguing our own society today, SURVIVAL OF THE DEAD exposes the futility of such conflict and the need for tolerance of the beliefs of others.

Great opening shot, love crane shots like that. Horrible shot on the dude fishing. Jesus christ that looked badly overlit. I don't think they've color corrected their movie yet.

Mr.Romano

The DC staff would like to ask you a few question.
That would be very gratious of you,

How can you judge the film by a 1:23 clip?

I saw that first clip online that Romero had a shit-fit about. And it fucking SUCKED!! Cheap, flat and appallingly-acted.

And judging by this tedious, over-lit clip it looks like my thoughts about this film were right.

It looks like shit.

Wow Romero, how you have fallen from grace...Seriously, this is from the godfather of the zombie genre who gave us Night, Dawn and Day?! Very depressing.

Despite the previous comment I have faith in George and will support this film to the end...Until I see it.
