ABC Checks Into Clive Barker's Hotel

McG and ABC join up for Clive Barker's HotelAs we told you just a couple of days ago (previous story here), a number of television networks have been vying for Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton's pilot script for "Clive Barker's Hotel." It now appears that ABC has emerged on top of the fray.

According to THR McG's Wonderland Sound and Vision banner is in talks to produce the Warner Bros TV project for the network along with Barker and Joe Daley. Wonderland and WBTV have collaborated on another series with genre overtones, the CW hit "Supernatural." In an interesting development, McG (pictured) could come on board in a directorial capacity if the project moves forward.

No further details were revealed about plot or characters and casting other than what we already knew: The series will center on "a series of ghoulish incidents at a haunted hotel." Hopefully we'll be learning more sooner rather than later.

Doesn't sound very Clive Barker right now. I'd have preferred one of his previous TV concepts, especially that Harry D'Amour TV show, getting the greenlight.
