Exclusive: Rob Hall Talks Old Scratch
While recently chatting with writer/director/special efx maestro Robert Hall, Heather Wixson of Dread Central got to catch up with him on what he's been working on and talked to Hall about his upcoming project Old Scratch.
Don't let the name Old Scratch fool you. Even though the title sounds like a mellow whiskey, it's actually a twisted little rock and roll horror flick that Hall has been cooking up for the last several years.
Hall's experiences growing up in the South and being exposed to backmasking (where they play records backwards in order to find subliminal messages) by preachers influenced him to write the tale which centers around a washed up musician who plays his old demos backwards in an effort to right some wrongs of his past.
What ends up happening is something a little more sinister.
