Lucas and Howard Engage in a Little Murder
Katrina disaster backdrop? Check. Goodhearted female ghost who happens to be a cellist? Check. Shot at redemption for a disgraced cop? Check, check. Heart strings tugged? The producers hope so. Yep, all the fixings for what sounds like a very vanilla thriller are in place for the upcoming project Little Murder.
Variety reports that Josh Lucas, Terrence Howard and Lake Bell will star in the indie thriller Little Murder with Peter "Gaga" Antonijevic at the director's helm.
Little Murder, penned by Gerald Di Pego ("The Forgotten," "Phenomenon") and Justin Di Pego, is set in the wake of Hurricane Katrina and centers on a disgraced detective (Lucas, pictured right) who gets an unexpected shot at redemption when the ghost of a beautiful cellist solicits his help in finding her killer.
Shooting begins next week in in Detroit with exteriors being shot in New Orleans. Let's hope the project rises above the formulaic outline. We can only hope, right?
