Satanic Panic Scores Distro! New Stills!
It's always nice to see the little guy make good. Big studio films have a habit of swallowing up the indie scene, but lucky for us some really good stuff can stand whatever Hollyweird can throw at it. Case in point -- Marc Selz's Satanic Panic.
Selz dropped us a line today with some new stills for you guys and the following -- very good -- news:
"Marc Selz Productions, LLC, has just signed a world distribution deal for Satanic Panic with Celebrity Video Distribution out of Los Angeles, CA. CVD is a fresh new company that has people with years of experience under their belts, and we look forward to working with them. The tentative release date for the DVD/Blu-ray of Satanic Panic is October 13, 2009. It took our company four years from beginning to end to finish Satanic with a lot of blood, sweat, and tears from everyone who worked on the film, and we're thrilled to see it get distribution. A new trailer will be finished next week.
Satanic Panic is inspired by true accounts and the craze that took place in the late 1970's and early 1880's and follows in the footsteps of classic horror films from that generation. In 1980 ten-year-old twins Toby and Cindy Richards were abducted by a group of demented satanic cult members. Cindy managed to escape, but Toby was never found. Twenty-five years later, a group of six friends take a canoe trip to re-kindle their friendship, only to find themselves in trouble with crazy, small town locals and the same satanic cult that took Toby years ago. Can the friends make it out of the town of Thornwood alive and in one piece, or will they become victims of sacrifice?
Satanic Panic stars Cyn (Lockout) Dulay, Nikki Taylor Melton, and Steve (The Telling) Christopher. The DVD/Blu-ray will include 16:9 widescreen presentation, Dolby 5.1 surround sound mix of the film, director's commentary, some behind-the-scenes footage, creature rendering slide show, and trailer. We will have more specifics as the release date gets closer."
Right the fuck on, guys! Ok! Enough talk! Dig on the stills below!
