Mario Batali to Serve a Bitter Feast

Fans of the Food Network know the name of chef Mario Batali very well. There's no question the guy can cook, but horror fans are more interested in how well he can chop!

THR reports that Batali has joined the cast of the comic thriller Bitter Feast, currently filming in Manhattan and Woodstock, N.Y., and will play the owner of a restaurant in the feature, written and directed by Joe Maggio for MPI Media Group and Glass Eye Pix.

The film stars Josh Leonard (The Blair Witch Project) and James LeGros (Phantasm II). LeGros is set to play a New York chef and TV cooking personality, who takes culinary revenge on the food critic (Leonard), who recently savaged his restaurant in a review!

In a perfect world I tell ya! Look for more to be cooked up on this one really soon!
