More On The Crow Remake
A few more details came in today regarding Stephen Norrington's remake of The Crow, and honestly? It may not be as bad as we thought!
A source close to the development of the redux (take that for what it's worth) caught up with Mania and dropped the following on them:
[Their film will be] very different from the original - a whole new story about a whole new character." To further illustrate the differences, director Stephen Norrington told Daily Variety, "Whereas [Alex] Proyas’ original was gloriously Gothic and stylized, the new movie will be realistic, hard-edged and mysterious, almost documentary-style."
Ok then. So it's not a remake. Things look to be getting interesting. I feel much better. Norrington will be submitting his script for the film later this month. Keep it here for more as it comes.

Hell yeah! A new trailer for Capcom's Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles for the Nintendo Wii has hit online, and it's brimming with the stuff that we love. Mayhem! Gore! Carnage! Monsters! And zombies! Lots and lots of zombies!

1. Thank God it's not a Remake of the original.
2. It HAS to be better then the last 3 films. (This of course would depend on the casting.)
3. Why doesn't someone approach James O'Barr and get his input on a NEW film. The guy was screwed out of his rights to anything pertaining to the original film, let alone the sequels.

As long as Ernie Hudson is back, it's cool in my book.

Me? I really liked the 3rd movie also. Second one I wasn't a real fan of, and I don't think i ever saw the Edward Furlong entry... but Salvation was a pretty slick movie with a decent story I thought.
The Crow is a legendary type character that can be dropped onto many characters in many different scenarios, so i think each one shoudl be taken as it's own stand alone unit. But for those who haven't seen Salvation, I reccommend it. Same great soundtrack theme... and we get to see Kirsten Dunst with her mouth sewn shut.

Looks like they will be straying far away from the graphic novel to me.
Let's wait and see. Curiosity makes me want to know what "new" character they will invent, I mean, if it's not the smae guy, it's not The Crow. Also, who will they cast...
