Bruce Evans to Dive into Diver for Intrepid

Intrepid Pictures Director Bruce Evans' psychological thriller Mr. Brooks was pretty well received, so it must have been a no-brainer for Intrepid Pictures to offer him a return to that particular sub-genre with the upcoming Diver.

Variety reports that Evans will helm the project, which concerns a disturbed ex-cop who's recruited into the "Diver Program", a secret project based in New Orleans where the cop and others enter the minds of the recently dead to experience their final thoughts and perceptions in order to solve the most heinous crimes.

The film is based on a script by Diane Ademu-John, who happens to be a writer and co-producer of the similarly themed TV series "Medium". Intrepid is no "stranger" to the genre either, having most recently co-produced The Strangers.

Mr. Brooks was the most deliciously retarded clustereff of a masterpiece, so I'd probably watch anything this guy makes out of sheer bleak curiosity.
