End of Days: Damnation in the Works?
It's been almost a decade since the Y2k Schwarzenegger vs. The Devil flick End of Days (review here) taught us that a rocket launcher can indeed vanquish Big Red.
(Oh, how we wish Universal would have included that ending in some way on the DVD or Blu-ray.)
Now we hear that Universal is looking to revisit those satanic stomping grounds in a sequel entitled End of Days: Damnation. A tipster at Universal wrote in to let us know that the sequel will be one of several sequels Universal is sending direct-to-video in 2010. An Arnie cameo (which seems to be the hot thing lately) is hopeful, but in the end it looks like we'll be seeing a completely different cast taking the reins.
Let's file this one in the rumor bin for now, but honestly, we really wouldn't be surprised if this baby came to fruition. We'll keep our ears to the ground for ya!

Tobe Hooper's under-appreciated slasher opus The Funhouse is a huge favorite here around the Dread Central offices. The flick had it all -- gypsies, sex, good kills, a great location, and most importantly a badass looking monster who wore a Frankenstein's Monster mask until his, um ... unveiling. From our point of view this remake is a no-brainer and it seems as if director Eli Roth feels the same way!

Unless it's got hot-ass Gabriel Byrne in it (which it won't), color me bored.

End of Days is a pretty awesome (if silly) movie. That said, Arnie died at the end and I've got no use for a sequel.
