Fulci's New York Ripper Goes Blu

There's always been a debate -- Fulci or Argento? Speaking for myself, I see it like Burger King or McDonald's, Fulci being Mickey-D's because you know you're getting trash, while Argento, The King, tries to dress things up by making you think you're getting something that looks better than it actually is.

See where I'm going? Just thinking out loud.

In any event, with Blue Underground pumping out the classics on Blu-ray (please give us Zombie) lately, things have been looking really, really good.

Blu-ray.com just got word that the Fulci slasher The New York Ripper, which features everyone's favorite quacking(!) killer, will be hitting high definition on September 29th.

Extras for this release will include:

  • “I'm an Actress!” – Interview with Zora Kerova
  • NYC Locations Then and Now
  • Theatrical Trailer

It's good to see that the fulci stuff is finally making its way to Blu-Ray. I am really looking forward to City of the Living Dead myself

    Sweet! Can't wait.

I hope they do Zombie as well. I'd love to have that on Blu-ray.
