Several years in fact. This year, just like the past two years, another new trailer for Alan Wake was shown at E3 - but - some actual gameplay footage appeared as well! Said footage includes our title character running through the woods being chased by what appears to be ghouls who have sort of a flicker effect to them that explode into flames upon shooting. Neat. Environments are of the Silent Hill variety, and honestly? Things are looking pretty good. We *should* be seeing Alan Wake in spring 2010, but I wouldn't hold my breath!
