Quarantine 2 About to Get Under Way

It's a typically slow news weekend, but one story has trickled out that is worth mentioning: "Official" development of Quarantine 2 has begun under the auspices of Sony Screen Gems.
Bloody-Disgusting learned that Screen Gems is looking for a totally original pitch for the sequel separate and apart from REC 2, which is currently prepping for its release in Spain later this year.
As more details come to light, we'll keep you posted.

I haven't see REC either but I enjoyed Quarantine. It seemed like it would be a more complicated film to make than a typical one.

I have yet to see Rec, but I did enjoy the Americanized version of Quarantine. The nihilistic ending,which seems to be happening in more and more horror films is always refreshing than the traditional horror film ending. However, it may become just as hoary in the near future.
Q2..well..I'd check it out!
