Normally we try not to pull stills from publications, but this time? I think I'll make an exception. Especially because of a pretty familiar person you'll see in said image!
The 30th Anniversary issue of Fangoria is now on sale, and it's packing so much good stuff it's hard to even know where to begin.
One of the features is a piece on George A. Romero and his new zombie epic, the still untitled ... of the Dead. Check out the still below from the article to dig on the handiwork of ... well ... yours truly! Rest assured there's lots more coming directly from me that we'll showcase right here on Dread Central, including an over 100-still photo gallery, a set visit, and my own personal diary of the dead!
In the interim get your hands on the new Fango ... NOW!

Hey...
Came across this website a while back, but didn't realize that Uncle Creepy was the same guy I met on the set of George A. Romero's of the Dead! I'm the zombie to your left in the Fangoria picture! Needless to say, I ran out and bought a couple of copies right after seeing the pic on your site! Like you, I was a big fan of Fangoria through the years and even bought #1 right off the stands when it came out. To be in the 30th Anniversary issue was a huge honor! Will be keeping track of more ...of the Dead news thanks to your posts!

I hope this is better than Diary of the Dead I felt let down after seeing that moving I mean Land was ok but Diary kinda killed it for me as a Romero.

That's gotta be a high. Showing up in Fangoria after decades of reading the mag. Great things Uncle Creepy. And didn't the first issue of Fangoria have a photo of the burn face zombie from Dawn and aren't you wearing the same (type) of shirt?

Thanks man! It's an amazing feeling. The idea was to update the Dawn zombie so-to-speak. Wait till you guys see my full make-up. It's fucking insane looking. Rest assured I do more than the original Plaid Zombie as I'm sure you can tell from above!

Was this your idea or Romero's or another production person? I'm interested in how much leeway there was. Sorry if there's an interview or something else out there that already goes over this.

It kind of like just happened. Once we had the costume it's like a collective lightbulb went off. Red plaid ... check ... bald zombie ... check ... hey wait a minute! LOL
