More Ushers Heading to the Big Screen
Despite the fact that two adaptations of Edgar Allan Poe’s The Fall of the House of Usher have been produced in the past three years, indie production company Green Knight Ventures seems convinced that they’ve got a fresh approach to the classic tale.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Claire Forlani, Dougray Scott (both pictured), and Rufus Sewell will star in The Ushers, a 3D horror flick that follows a grown brother and sister who have lived in the same Martha's Vineyard house for a long time but begin to feel trapped there, and who then bring in a real estate broker to help them resolve their crisis.
The premise may sound a bit horror-shy in these early stages, and the 3D gimmick is already beginning to feel stale, but we’ll keep you updated with the latest as soon as we get it.

One thing I'll never completely understand is TV programming and why some shows make it when others that are just as worthy, if not more so, don't. Case in point: Fox TV's "Dollhouse" and "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles."
