I have not seen the original version. But I have high hopes for this one. Romero is my favorite director of all time. In my opinion his films are one of the few they do right in the remake departments. Minus NOTLD 3D and Day of the Dead. But there really have not been very many good remakes since The Thing.
I may get shot for saying this but I enjoyed the Friday the 13th remake.

I am pretty down on most remakes...but for some reason- I am hopeful about this one.
I really like Tim Olyphant...maybe that's why. Regardless, I think this might be one of those remakes that actually has legs.
Hope I'm not wrong.
