The Cell 2 Trailer

The trailer for direct-to-DVD sequel The Cell 2 recently showed up online, and it looks exactly as you'd think it would considering no one was exactly clamoring for it and it pretty much came out of nowhere.

The film stars Tessie Santiago and Frank Whaley, was directed by Tim Iacofano (who gained experience working on the TV shows "24" and "Supernatural"), and offers up the following storyline: The Cusp is a serial killer who kills his victims and then brings them back to life -- over and over again -- until they beg to die. Maya is a psychic investigator who gained her powers while in a one-year coma after being the Cusp's first victim. Now the Cusp is back, and Maya has little time to do what she has never done before: go into the mind of a killer unprotected and save his latest victim.

The gang over at Quiet Earth are the ones who tracked the trailer down, and I'm not sure if we should thank them or not.

In any event, check it out below, and if you like what you see, click the appropriate EvilShop link to either purchase the DVD/Blu-ray on its release date of June 16th, 2009, or watch it on Amazon.com's video-on-demand service on June 23rd.

WTF! Its like they have their own type of selective memory about what the first one look like and complete ignored it-
but to be honest the director is from Supernatural so some of this trailer look like an extension from Season 4

Wow, this looks like something either A-Pix Entertainment or Trimark Pictures would have released direct-to-VHS in 1995 or 1996 and then, because everything else was rented out that weekend, you grab an older movie and this, not knowing much about it. And later rue that decision.
