First Image from The Crazies
Overture Films has released the very first image from Breck Eisner's remake of the George Romero classic The Crazies, and we have it for you hot and fresh out of the old loony bin!
The image features Timothy Olyphant looking as if he's seen way better days than this one. For those of you unaware, and shame on you if you fall under this dubious category, The Crazies tells the tale of military attempts to contain a killer man-made virus that causes death and permanent insanity in those infected. Look for it to arrive in theaters September 25th, and keep an eye out for our set report coming very soon!

It's been around two years that we've been telling you guys about what could very well be one of the single most offensively good times to be had in ages in Jonathan Lewis' Black Devil Doll. Now, we have the very first review. Did it deliver?

For some reason this sparked a memory. I recall many years ago seeing a trailer for a movie called Impulse where the people in this town went nuts from contaminated milk or something. It sounded somewhat like The Crazies. In Impulse I think the craziness was based on their no longer being able to control sudden impulses (like someone sticking their fingers into a whirling fan and stuff like that).
Was that ever released?

I hope they take this farther than the ol' homicidal maniac only type crazy route, I'd like to see something psychological added to the mix. Crazy has many flavors and is ripe for the genre pickings.
