Clash of the Titans Remake Close to Naming Gods

Clash of the Titans Remake Close to Naming GodsOne remake I am absolutely stoked about is Louis Leterrier's Clash of the Titans for Warner Bros. Why? Because Greek mythology is loaded with monsters, badass sword fights, scantily clad babes, and yes -- more monsters!

As you'd expect, the cast is finally taking shape. Variety reports tonight that Ralph Fiennes is in the final stages of talks to assume the role of Hades, the lord of the underworld, starring opposite Liam Neeson, who is set to co-star as Zeus.

If all goes well, the two actors will be joining Mads Mikkelsen, Gemma Arterton, Alexa Davalos, and Sam Worthington as Perseus in the production, which begins shooting later this month in the U.K.

The storyline will still revolve around the myth of Perseus and his journey to save the Princess Andromeda, during which he must complete various tasks set out by Zeus, including capturing Pegasus and slaying Medusa. Right on!

I'm really glad to see they're taking a serious approach to this. That is a considerable amount of star power involved!

And directed by the guy who made The Incredible Hulk, this is shaping up to be very exciting. After the rampages by the Hulk and the Abomination, I can't wait to see what type of monster action we get.

I CAN'T WAIT! I only hope they give it Lord of the Rings type attention to detail. The Stygian Witches, Medusa, Calibos...Love this movie!
