1408's Hafstrom to Administer Last Rite

Last Rite has been one of those on-again, off-again projects so it struck me as interesting that it looks like the film is officially "on" now and even has a director attached.

Variety reported that Mikael Hafstrom will be helming Last Rite, which is a supernatural thriller penned by Michael Petroni (Queen of the Damned, The Dangerous Lives of Alter Boys).

Official synopsis:
"Last Rite tells the story of a young man who joins a seminary and is soon recruited into the Vatican's newly formed Exorcism School. There, he confronts the demonic and discovers his true faith by facing the devil."

While I generally dislike PG-13 horror flicks, I rather enjoyed director Hafstrom’s last genre movie, the John Cusack vehicle 1408. I guess that’s why I am actually kind of interested to see what he has to offer with this flick.

It’s still pretty early in the process so no other details on Last Rite are available just yet. We’ll make sure to keep you fans of the supernatural updated when they are released.
