Zombie Debuts Night Creatures
And the behind-the-scenes stuff keeps trickling in from the set of Halloween 2. This time, a look at the band headlining Haddonfield's Phantom Jam -- Captain Clegg and The Night Creatures.
The pic as always appeared first on Zombie's MySpace page. Rejects aficionados will recognize the front-man as Jesse Dayton of Banjo & Sullivan fame. Dig it!
Rob Zombie's Halloween 2 will be in theatres on August 28th.

Things have been really quiet news-wise concerning the little anthology that could, Monsterpiece Theatre. In all honesty the movie presented by John Carl Buechler and Ethan Terra has a lot going for it -- good effects, good writing, and a great cast that includes Tiffany Shepis, Kane Hodder, Eileen Dietz, and a host of genre personalities including two chubby bald guys whom you may just recognize immediately!

Captain Clegg and the Night Creatures is taken from an old Hammer film with Peter Cushing as the star. The Night Creatures in the film were guys on horses dressed like the guys in the above picture. Hardly an original idea from Rob Zombie, but a pretty cool tribute in my opinion. Hope I'm not stating the obvious to many of you.

Here's more about the character.

Pretty witty, I wonder if one member is named Dr. Syn, and another scarecrow?

I'm curious if Zombie is a Pink Floyd fan. There's a song on Floyd's second album, Saucerful of Secrets called "Corporal Clegg" that's incredibly catchy. (I'm singing it now as I type this.) :)

At first I was worried that nothing I saw attached to H2 even remotely resembled a Michael Myers Halloween film, but all a sudden BAM, the series is back on track in the blink of an eye. Nothing says HALLOWEEN FILM like a Haddonfield music jam with kick ass rock legends Captain Clegg (not to be confused with Captain Spaulding) and the Night Creatures. Where does Rob come up with these clever unique names? We already got Dr. Satan, maybe we'll get Dr. Death this time.
Whew....I feel better now. H2 is going to be fucking amazing.
