Halo-8 to Deliver Pop Skull
And Halo-8 continues its quest to bring fans some truly unique genre programming. This time it's director Adam Wingard's slice of mind altering horror known as Pop Skull.
Pop Skull (review) depicts the lonely and disjointed life of Daniel, a young Alabama pill addict, as his efforts to cope with the trials of his day-to-day life collide with the increasing influence of murderous and displaced spirits that inhabit his home. Plagued by ghosts, Daniel discovers his home holds a secret to a grisly crime... a crime he's doomed to repeat if he can't prevail against the forces that haunt him.
"Two years in the making and dozens of cough medicine induced drunken hazes later, Pop Skull is finally emerging onto DVD with the support of indie distributor Halo-8," said director Adam Wingard. "It wasn't an easy road to get here, and perhaps in this time of economic collapse it is appropriate that at last our low budget masterpiece will finally see the light beyond its extended festival circuit tour."
Written by E.L. Katz and starring Lane Hughes, Brandon Carroll, Maggie Henry, and Hannah Hughes, look for Pop Skull later this year from Halo-8 Entertainment. In the interim check out the trailer below.

"When I was little, we found a man. He looked like - like, butchered. The old woman in the village crossed themselves... and whispered crazy things, strange things. "El Diablo cazador de hombres." Only in the hottest years this happens. And this year, it grows hot. We begin finding our men. We found them sometimes without their skins... and sometimes much, much worse. "El demonio que hace trofeos de hombres y lulz" means the demon who makes trophies of men and lulz."
