Dennis Iliadis Sets His Sights on a Cure
Well, his redux version of Last House on the Left hits the big screen tomorrow, but that doesn’t mean director Dennis Iliadis is resting on his laurels. Iliadis is already preparing for his next project.
Variety reported tonight that Iliadis has been brought on to helm the thriller Cure for Groundswell Productions. Shooting is slated to start this summer.
The official synopsis goes like this: Cure centers on a young man who sends his wife for an experimental treatment to save her from a terminal illness. Although she returns completely cured, she is suddenly infected with something more terrifying.
Personally, I find medical-themed thrillers a hit or miss subgenre so we’ll see what Iliadis can bring to the table on this one.
No word on casting yet, but once we get the details, we’ll make sure to keep you posted.

At first I figured this would be a remake of Kiyoshi kurosawa's CURE.
