Third Twilight Film Actually Watchable?
Though the second film in the Twilight franchise, New Moon, is nowhere near in the can, that hasn't stopped Summit Entertainment from shopping for a director for the third entry, Eclipse (book review). The front-runner for the job is someone whom you'd never expect.
The Hollywood Reporter reported tonight that Guillermo Del Toro protege Juan Antonio Bayona (The Orphanage) has emerged as one of the finalists to direct Eclipse, the third movie in Stephenie Meyer's Twilight franchise.
Even though this isn't new news, we first mentioned it back here, it would still be a pleasant turn of events and one we'll be watching very closely. Bayona killed it with The Orphanage; could he actually make an entry in this tweener series watchable?
Stay tuned.

I'm not very familiar with the Twilight series, but have heard quite a bit about it. That being said, this "Teenage Girls Shitting Their Pants" plot point is completely new to me. Guess with enough clever marketing you can hide anything.
