One with a bit more bite. According to The Hollywood Reporter Dobrev will play Elena Gilbert, a young woman caught between quarreling vampire brothers Stefan and Damon. The pilot was penned by Kevin Williamson and "Kyle XY"'s Julie Plec and is based upon a series of young adult novels written by L.J. Smith.
