Screen Gems Annoints a New Priest
"I kick ass for the Lord!" There's no way in the world a horror fan can whip out that quote from Peter Jackson's Dead Alive (or Brain Dead for you purists out there) without cracking a smile and reliving the badassery of it all in our heads. Well holy shit. Screen Gems announced today that yet another priest will soon be kicking ass!
Shock Till You Drop learned today that Priest, which was originally supposed to star Gerard Butler with Andrew Douglas at the helm, has found itself a new director in Scott Stewart and is slated for release August 13, 2010.
The flick is an adaptation of the action-horror TokyoPop comic book set in a world that has been ravaged by vampires. Sign me up, and break out the butter-flavored Eucharists! I am there!

We need more movies about violent experiments, damnit! Luckily that's exactly what we get when it comes to Alex Birrell's new film Braincell! Fangoria.com got the first peek at the trailer, and I've gotta say it looks pretty damned violent!

I'm just glad to see one article about priests in the media that doesn't use the word "pedophile". Sick of that shit. Let's see some Roman-collared holy-water-sprayers melt some hellspawn.

But it's not actually vampires in the manwha, it's demons . . .
However, is Butler still Priest?

Nope I think he passed once the director's switched.

As much as I love Gerry Butler, that might be for the best. Ivan isn't a burly Scot by any stretch of the imagination.
