Screen Gems Finds Terror Within

The folks we have taking care of our kids have played a bit of a dual role in our favorite horror flicks. Some are born to be stalked, and others? Well, others do the stalking.

According to The Hollywood Reporter Sony's Screen Gems has picked up Within, a thriller spec written by Jack Olsen, with Michael Lynne, Bob Shaye and Dylan Sellers attached to produce through the Unique Features banner, which incidentally happens to be the new production outfit started by New Line founders-turned-producers Shaye and Lynne.

The film is said to be in the vein of The Hand That Rocks the Cradle and will focus on a couple whose marriage is endangered by the baby surrogate they have hired. Seems our resident psycho not only wants to keep her kid, but the lucky hubby too.

Theose damned surrogates. They're always trouble. I remember mine. My parents hired her out of ... well, nevermind.
