Last House on the Left Midnight Pictures Remakes Scream 4 Wes Craven Tweet By Andrew Kasch February 19th, 2009 Last night Dread Central gathered with all the horror outlets for a preview screening of the Last House on the Left remake, which was also attended by producer Wes Craven and stars Monica Potter, Sarah Paxton, and Terminator badass Garret Dillahunt. Although there isn't much to report, there were a few interesting tidbits from the Q&A: Craven stated that the current hell of the Bush Administration paralleled what was going on in the 70's, hence the reason for revisiting Last House. After the experience on the new Hills Have Eyes films, Craven had the production shot in Africa for cost-cutting measures. Garret Dillahunt, who stepped into the role of Krug, consulted with David Hess before shooting. Most of the actors chose not to view the original because they were warned that it would disturb them too much. Craven is still uninvolved with Scream 4 and knows next to nothing about it. That's all for now. It is in French (anyone who can translate for us, please post below!), but as you may recall, the film follows a team of scientists who discover something that may alter our perception of evolution and, after crashing in a gully, begin to be hunted by that something.
