I Scream Delay Explained

It’s been a long time since we’ve had any updates on J.T. Mollner’s proposed slasher film I Scream Man (“I Scream Man Creator Talks!” – June 2007), and thanks to Sci Fi Wire this morning, we now know why.

According to the site, who spoke to star Crispin Glover recently, the film’s run into legal troubles as well as the usual financial troubles that hit most indie productions, especially ones looking to cast names like Dee Wallace, Fred Ward and Glover. Not that they’re huge names or anything, but for an indie filmmaker, any talent with some history is going to have its own issues.

"We were supposed to go into production, and I would like to go into production soon, but I don't have the details yet of when that will happen," Glover told the site. "I read the script, and it is good." Glover would play the titular ice cream truck driver who has a psychotic snap one day and goes on a killing spree. They’re still hoping for a release in 2009.
