Exclusive: Behind the Sweatshop!
Though we’re still not sure what it’s about, that won’t stop us from showing off a group of behind-the-scenes stills we got today from an anonymous source from the upcoming low-budget horror flick Sweatshop.
Written by Barricade (review) writer and all around cool guy Ted Geoghegan and directed by Stacy Davidson of Domain of the Damned, Sweatshop is the latest in a line of films from this new group of filmmakers who keep teaming up for movie after movie, each time taking a slightly different role. It’s kinda cool, actually, and their output can range from pretty bad (Barricade) to pretty damn good (Closet Space) and everywhere in between. No matter where their films fall, though, they have to be given credit for just doing it!
Anyway, check out the rest of the pics below, one of which is director Stacy Davidson holding a gigantic foundry hammer, the weapon of the killer at the heart of Sweatshop! We’ll be delivering more info when we’re granted it; for now check out the Sweatshop MySpace page for more goodies!

Come up with theories about Sweatshop's plot based on these pics in the Dread Central forums!

Thanks to the very cool folks at AICN, Quint especially, my wife and I got to check out a screening of the much-loved Spanish horror movie The Orphanage (review) the other night in Boston, which was attended by the film's screenwriter, Sergio Sanchez, and director, J.A. Bayona.
