Park Chan-Wook's Vampiric Update!

Remember Evil Live, the vampire film Park Chan-wook said he’d be directing after I’m a Cyborg but That’s Okay? It’s been a while since we’ve had an update, so luckily the boys at Aullidos got a chance to pick the director’s brain during the Sitges festival.

Park told them that the film is now called Bakjwi (there is no English title yet), and is about a vampire who falls in love with the wife of his best human friend. All right, not the sort of gritty, hardcore vampire film we might expect from the director of Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance and Oldboy, but then love can be a pretty ugly thing...

The director said he hopes to have the film in the can for Sitges 2008, so we’ll keep our ears and eyes open for more between now and then!
