‘Children Of The Corn’ Director and Stars Talk Their Take On Stephen King

Children of the Corn

Stephen King’s short story Children of the Corn has seen quite a few iterations. Starting with a feature film adaptation in 1984, the IP has seen ten franchise entries, including a reboot in 2009. Now, director Kurt Wimmer is delivering the eleventh entry with his take on the killer kid tale.

Read the full synopsis below:

Possessed by a spirit in a dying cornfield, a twelve-year-old girl in Nebraska recruits the other children in her small town to go on a bloody rampage and kill all the adults and anyone else who opposes her. A bright high schooler who won’t go along with the plan is the town’s only hope of survival.

Dread Central spoke with Wimmer and stars Kate Moyer and Elena Kampouris about adaptations, killer kids, and more.

Children of the Corn is out now in theaters.
