‘Faces of Death’: Press Play on the Brutal Red Band Trailer!

Give the people what they want. Gratuitous violence.
Shudder and IFC have pressed play on the official red band trailer for Faces of Death, arriving in theaters April 10.
The new trailer delivers substantial new footage and leans into the film’s central conceit: the original Faces of Death exists as a real VHS, now being reenacted for modern social media engagement. It blends sharp social commentary with glimpses of brutally intense material and, overall, looks like a wild ride. Charli xcx even appears to be having fun with it.
“Faces of Death continues the exploration of the original film’s infamous ‘Is it real or not?’ conceit, as a woman (Barbie Ferreira) working as a content moderator for a major video platform discovers what appears to be re-enactments of murders from the original film. In an online world where nothing can be trusted, she must determine whether the violence is fiction or unfolding in real time.”
Directed by CAM’s Daniel Goldhaber, the new Faces of Death is co-written by Isa Mazze and stars Barbie Ferreira, Dacre Montgomery, Josie Totah, Charli XCX, and Jermaine Fowler.
Unfortunately, the red band trailer is age-gated, so you need to click it to watch.
