New ‘Mummy’ Spot Leans Hard Into the Body Horror

New TV spots for Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema’s The Mummy are now airing, featuring a small amount of new footage that leans heavily into body horror.
In the film, the young daughter of a journalist disappears into the desert without a trace—eight years later, the broken family is shocked when she is returned to them, as what should be a joyful reunion turns into a living nightmare.
Director Lee Cronin had previously promised that it would “be unlike any Mummy movie you ever laid eyeballs on before.” Further adding: “I’m digging deep into the earth to raise something very ancient and very frightening.”
Starring are Jack Reynor (Midsommar), Laia Costa (“The Wheel of Time”), May Calamawy (“Moon Knight”), Veronica Falcón (“Ozark”), May Elghety (Clash), Natalie Grace (“1923”), Shylo Molina (“The Afterparty”), and Billie Roy (Spirit Halloween: The Movie).
The Mummy will be unwrapped in theaters on April 17, 2026, from Blumhouse, Atomic Monster, and New Line Cinema.
