‘Whistle’ and ‘This is Not a Test’ Screaming On Shudder this May
Horror streaming service Shudder recently announced the headliners for their Halfway to Halloween celebration beginning this April. And today, they’ve announced additional titles coming to the service in May, including Whistle and This is Not a Test!
Directed by Corin Hardy and penned by Owen Egerton, Whistle follows, “A misfit group of unwitting high school students who stumble upon a cursed object, an ancient Aztec Death Whistle. They discover that blowing the whistle and the terrifying sound it emits will summon their future deaths to hunt them down. As the body count rises, the friends investigate the origins of the deadly artifact in a desperate effort to stop the horrifying chain of events that they have set in motion.”
Dafne Keen, Sophie Nélisse, Sky Yang, Jhaleil Swaby, Ali Skovbye, Percy Hynes White, Michelle Fairley and Nick Frost star.
Whistle screeches onto Shudder on May 8th.
As for This is Not a Test, writer/director Adam MacDonald‘s zombie tale follows, “Sloane and a small group of her classmates [who] take cover in their high school to escape their suddenly apocalyptic hometown. As danger relentlessly pounds on the doors, Sloane begins to see the world through the eyes of people who actually want to live and takes matters into her own hands.”
Olivia Holt, Froy Gutierrez, Luke MacFarlane, Corteon Moore, Chloe Avakian and Carson MacCormac star.
Pass or fail This is Not a Test when it arrives on Shudder May 22nd.
